Children’s Program

Summer 2023
The Annual Children’s Program class schedule is held from September through June. Summer classes are also offered during the summer months. Registration for fall classes begins in May and can be done in person, by mailing the registration form with payment or by phone. MMD offers ongoing registration throughout the year.

DRESS CODE REQUIREMENTS:
Mass Motion Dance feels strongly about having students in appropriate dress code for each class in order to achieve a professional learning environment in the classroom. Attending dance classes in the proper attire shows the proper respect to the art of dance. All female students should have their hair pinned up neatly during all of class. No gum chewing is allowed at anytime. No dangling jewelry should be worn.
Tiny Tots
Girls: Pink leotard, pink tights & pink ballet shoes. Tiny Tots who take tap will need TAN buckle tap shoes, no ties please, and no black tap shoes!
Boys: Black pants, white t-shirt or tank top. Black ballet shoes.
Level Classes
Girls: Black leotard and tan convertible tights. Convertible tights have a hole in the bottom of the foot so that children can wear tights on their feet with shoes, then can be barefoot when necessary. Pink leather ballet shoes, tan u-shell buckle tap shoes, barefoot for jazz.
Boys: Black pants, white t-shirt or tank top. Black ballet shoes and tap shoes. Barefoot for jazz.
Ballet
Girls: Black leotard, pink tights and pink leather ballet shoes.
Boys: Black pants, white t-shirt or tank top. Black ballet shoes.
Modern and Jazz
Black leotard, tan tights, and bare feet. no shoes are required. Black shorts are allowed at the teachers discretion.
Tap
Black leotard, tan tights, and tan u-shell buckle tap shoes for level classes and children’s classes. No ties and no black or white tap shoes! Teen classes should have black lace up tap shoes.
Hip Hop
Loose comfortable clothing and clean sneakers not worn outside. NO JEANS are allowed!
Irish Step
Girls: MMD Irish t-shirt, tan tights with black shorts. Black gillies. Hard shoes are required for Intermediate and Advanced levels.
Boys: MMD Irish t-shirt and Black pants, Black jazz shoes. Hard shoes are required for Intermediate and Advanced levels.
